In this shoot, I wanted to capture the feeling of extreme disappointment that comes with a special event gone awry. For Jess, so much more than just her makeup has been ruined today. I particularly like in this shot how the brightness of the pearls contrasts with her sad expression and the smeared mascara - I felt like this came across better in black and white than in the original color version.
