In June 2012 my late wife and I visited Maroondah Dam near Healesville in Victoria, Australia. A crisp winters afternoon with little wind meant I was able to get this photo of the classically inspired outlet tower with great contrast whilst walking along the dam wall.

Melbourne reservoirs have a "closed catchment:" policy meaning the public are not allowed into the areas, so to compensate reservoirs like Maroondah were furnished with ornamental parks and the Board of Works wanted the architecture to be inspiring too.
