Duomo at Night

The Cathedral of Saint Mary (aka the Duomo) in Florence, with Giotto's Tower to the right, and Brunellesci's famous dome peaking out from behind. The cathedral took 140 years to complete (opened in 1436). Lights set on buildings around the square provided illumination for this time exposure. The 1.6 sec exposure allowed the blurring of some of people in the foreground, and allowed a lower ISO (and bigger F-stop) for a sharper image of the cathedral.
